VACUPRESS®

Gentle deaeration and compaction of your fine-grained bulk materials

Your key to greater economy and cost efficiency

With achievable volume reductions of up to 75%, the VACUPRESS enables you to optimize your cost efficiency in downstream handling processes: make your storage and packaging processes even more efficient with the VACUPRESS. Make maximum use of your transport volumes in the future with optimized bulk densities. Benefit from dust-free dosing and packaging processes thanks to optimized handling properties of your product.

No matter what your focus is, with the VACUPRESS, our experts enable you to gently reduce the volume of your fine-grained bulk materials and powders, opening up new ways for your business to succeed. It’s always reversible and has no negative effects on product quality.

With different frame sizes, we can supply you with a solution tailored to your requirements – whether it involves a standalone VACUPRESS or is integrated into your system.

Gentle compaction has top priority

Used as an upstream powder deaerator, the VACUPRESS extracts the air from the spaces between your fine-grained bulk materials and powders. Compared with many other powder compactors, the VACUPRESS deaerates and compacts your bulk materials with extremely low pressing forces that do not affect the quality your customers are used to. Maximum bulk densities with low bulk material volumes are the result.

The deaerated and compacted product can be returned to its fine powdery state at any time, if necessary, even without the application of high shearing forces.

VACUPRESS systems are of course also available in ATEX-compliant versions.

We listen when you tell us about your challenges.

The VACUPRESS and its aeras of application

The VACUPRESS can be integrated into the following processes:

  • Packaging facilities
  • Silos
  • Dosing units
  • Granulators
  • Briquetting press

The VACUPRESS can compact all types of bulk materials with a particle size of less than 40 µm and an initial bulk weight of less than 750 g/l. Significant volume reductions can be expected, particularly with fine-grained bulk materials and powders.

Materials:

Many of our customers are already using the VACUPRESS successfully to compact the following bulk materials:

  • Silicic acid
  • Soot
  • Pigments
  • Aluminum oxide
  • Magnesium oxide
  • Kaolin
  • Zinc oxide
  • Talcum powder
  • Phosphate
  • Plant protection products

The right solution for every bulk material

If your bulk material is not listed here, please contact us! Thanks to a wide range of filter media and different configuration options, the VACUPRESS can be individually adjusted to your requirements and optimally adapted to the material to be deaerated.

Are you aware of your potential? We can help you find it out.

Our many years of experience give you an advantage: with analyses of raw materials and process engineering feasibility tests, Grenzebach secures your investment project well in advance.

For this purpose, we analyze all the material properties of your bulk materials in our own building materials laboratory in Bad Hersfeld, in order to develop a tailor-made solution for you based on the insights we gain in this way. Thanks to the various test facilities in our technical center, we can also subject your bulk materials to realistic tests. With existing VACUPRESS systems, which are dimensioned for different real production conditions, we can determine your achievable volume reductions in advance.

Process parameters of the VACUPRESS at a glance:

  • Throughput rates ranging from 30 to 10,000 kg/h
  • Volume reduction of up to 75%
  • Product temperatures up to 100 °C
  • Particle size up to 40 µm
  • Initial bulk density up to 750 g/m³
