New potentials for tomorrow's digital gypsum production

Digitialization throughout the entire value chain brings out potentials that can make business processes even more efficient. The hidden treasure of data allows decisions to be taken in an even quicker, more informed and fact-based manner. "Such added value through digitialization is something that we want to make available to our customers so that they can further increase their productivity. Together with our colleagues at Grenzebach digital we are, therefore, working on digital solutions for the gypsum industry," explains Christian Gärtner. The company will provide initial insights into this at the Global Gypsum Conference on 28 October 2020 in its presentation entitled "IIOT IN PRODUCTION LINES – Improvement of production efficiency through digitization" and will also showcase first digital solutions for the gypsum industry. Via individual smart apps from the SERICY IIoT platform, Grenzebach offers ways of digital process networking and automated data use. SERICY users can thus benefit from reduced maintenance times by using applications like the Collaboration App, for instance. Thanks to the variety of individual apps, the digital transformation can take place gradually and individually. "We at Grenzebach see ourselves as partners who accompany our customers into tomorrow's digital gypsum and plaster production. Were are keen to learn about their digitalization needs and requirements already today and thus look forward to a lot of input at the Global Gypsum Conference, which we will include  in our development activities," adds Christian Gärtner.

Digital access to Grenzebach know-how through extended services

"Let's work together even more closely" is Grenzebach's motto at the Global Gypsum Conference, where the company presents itself as an end-to-end life cycle partner and puts a focus on its comprehensive service portfolio: "High equipment availability at the customer's site and continuous improvement in equipment performance – that's what we work for every day. On the occasion of the Global Gypsum Conference we inform customers about various plant and equipment upgrades, and we also offer a service tutorial to all those interested. In this way we want to share our experience and expertise with our customers so that they may benefit from it in the best possible way," says Christian Gärtner. In future, customers can also be assisted with their service and maintenance activities via the new Collaboration App, which allows a digital cooperation across company borders. This and other service products help to secure the gypsum industry's performance and sustainability in difficult times.
