BAD HERSFELD / Germany. The new management team of Grenzebach Bad Hersfeld takes off with their focus on process engineering, production technology for building materials, recycling for the recovery of raw materials and energy-optimized solutions for existing and new plants. From March 1, 2022, Robert Brier, new CEO and Head of Global Sales, will further strengthen the company's position as a reliable partner to customers in numerous industries, together with the 274 employees at the Grenzebach location in Bad Hersfeld. The employees not only provide support in the realization of customer projects but also the further development of products and solutions for new markets with their high level of professional competence. They are thereby supported by the globally active Grenzebach Group and their international network, especially on the current "fast-moving markets". Grenzebach attaches great importance to continuity in a personal dialog with customers by strengthening the key-account approach worldwide.

Built on tradition, eyes on the future

A generational change in management, continuity in the closeness to customers and the tradition of an agile family business: Grenzebach Bad Hersfeld is continuing the success story with a new team at the top, including many experts who have been with the company for a long time.

This generational change at our company is taking place alongside a change of generation at many of our customer companies.”

Brier takes over the function from Franz-Josef Wilbois, who will remain in an advisory capacity until the middle of the year. Afterward, Franz-Josef Wilbois will go into his well-deserved retirement. He has been a key figure in shaping the successful direction of the company in the nine years of his work for Grenzebach Bad Hersfeld.

Robert Brier, the new CEO, will also take over the management of Global Sales from March on, and thereby be the successor to Dr. Christoph Habighorst. Dr. Habighorst will use his experience as the newly created Vice President Product & Process Development.

Marc Engelhardt, Vice President Engineering will support the future CEO in his function as deputy.

From process engineering via building materials technology to phosphorus recycling

Plaster gypsum or plasterboards: Building materials producers can rely on the experts in Bad Hersfeld for the complete range of equipment and devices from the raw material to the finished product. The Grenzebach experts also provide production technologies for building materials made of wood and equipment for manufacturing insulating materials from renewable raw materials or mineral fiber.

Grenzebach is providing further impetus in the recycling sector with high-temperature processes developed for the recovery of raw materials. Municipalities are already benefiting from the Phosphorus Recycling Process developed by Grenzebach to sustainably recover phosphorus, a vital raw material, from sewage sludge.

130 years of experience at the Bad Hersfeld location

The company can build on a strong foundation: Grenzebach's technologies and services at the Bad Hersfeld site are based on 130 years of experience in the efficient processing of raw materials, which dates back to the long-established Schilde AG and Babcock BSH. Combined with the process and technology knowledge, gained in over more than 60 years at Grenzebach, comprehensive expertise leads to reliable solutions, whether it's about grinding limestone or processing color pigments.

Prototypes are created in the 400-square meter technology center “Technikum”

The 400-square meter technology center “Technikum” is a special feature of Grenzebach BSH. There, raw materials are analyzed and process engineering procedures are tested, among other things. Special cases and individual requirements of the customers are approached and met by the Grenzebach team with models and prototypes in the technology center. The range at Bad Hersfeld’s Technikum is vast: process technological devices, prototypes for the gypsum/plasterboard industry as well as dryers for wood veneer.
