Grenzebach celebrates Automationfest yet again

In September of 2021, Grenzebach once again invited customers to Automationfest in Newnan, Georgia. Future technologies, digitalization, automation and robotics from various industries were the focus of the one-day event. Around 150 guests followed thies year’s invitation.

On September 14, 2021, 17 vendors presented the latest developments in industrial production at Grenzebach Corporation's Automationfest in Newnan, Georgia. "Last year we were unable to participate in any tradeshow due to the pandemic. But today, we are even more pleased to look at the future of the glass industry and other markets with our customers and partners together and in person," said John Fluker, CEO of Grenzebach Corporation in Newnan. Workshops, exciting product demos and presentations around topics, such as future technologies, automation and robotics guided the day. Several presentations by the Grenzebach Group, for example, digitalization of float glass lines or sustainable technologies for the cold and hot end, showed customers in the glass industry ways to successfully meet the challenges of the future and markets.

Around 150 guests followed this year's invitation from Grenzebach Corporation to Newnan and took advantage of the opportunity to engage in personal exchanges receive first-hand information. Dr. Steven Althaus, CEO of the Grenzebach Group, was also present. This year's Automationfest also featured a fun Oktoberfest atmosphere with Bavarian specialties and music.

Popular event in remodeled building

For the first time, Automationfest was held in the remodeled building of Grenzebach Corporation. In 2020, the office space in Newnan underwent comprehensive energy renovations. Among other things, facades were insulated, heating, air conditioning and sprinkler systems were converted to more efficient systems. Compared to the same period last year, the renovation measures have already resulted in savings of over 20 percent in electricity and water consumption with a rising tendency.

“From glass to automotive, we sense the future is becoming 'greener'. This not only affects technologies, but also the companies. By redesigning our site in Newnan, we are supporting the group-wide goal of conserving resources and reducing emissions permanently.”
