Bad Hersfeld full speed ahead

16.10.2018 - Three teams from Grenzebach showing their sporty side at the Lollslauf.

Great run! 20 employees from Grenzebach Bad Hersfeld signed up for the Lollslauf on Sunday. Two teams participated in the city run starting at the Lingplatz for the 5k run and placed 4th and 5th. Another team started at the market place heading for the 10k route and with a time of 54:10 minutes placed 16th out of 68 runners.

Good sportsmanship

Great run! "I was very pleased to see passionate runners as well as colleagues who had just bought their running shoes to be able to participate. The fact that we had a total of three teams at the Lollslauf showed us just how sportive we are at Grenzebach", says Franz Wilbois, Head of Grenzebach in Bad Hersfeld. Exchanging exercising tips, motivating co-workers to participate, being thrilled to hear the "ready-steady-go" signal, and applauding each other at the finish line. The Lollslauf, which took place for the 19th time, has been part of the Bad Hersfeld Grenzebach year.

Lullusfest, after the run

Great run! Traditionally, the Lollslauf precedes the Bad Hersfeld Lullusfest, the oldest folk festival in all of Germany, remembering the founder and Bonifatius' student archbishop Lull. The Lullusfest is celebrated every year in October at the archbishop's date of death, on Oct. 16.  This year the festivities in the spa and festival town will last through October 22, 2018. Franz Wilbois: "The Lullusfest is a welcomed opportunity for our colleagues to demonstrate that they cannot only run, but also celebrate together."
