Welcome to your career

28.08.2017 - Apprentice Day celebrates its 10th anniversary.

Grenzebach’s annual Apprentice Day celebrates its 10th anniversary. Every year, apprentices together with their parents take the opportunity to get to know the company. "Aside from the professional education and a focus on team work, we put great emphasis on practiced values – social projects, such as “Grenzebach helps”, really involve our trainees and let them have an impact on society", says Stefan Grenzebach, CFO of the Grenzebach Group.

What does the ideal seating bench for our senior citizens look like? With this question in mind our second year apprentices worked together to build outdoor furniture which allows for comfortable sitting down on and standing up from and is equipped with lights on a timer. The bench is being used by residents of the Donauwörth Bavarian Red Cross Center. The money needed for the project, the apprentices collected during a bake sale at the Company –and a soccer match they hosted, playing the Donauwörth Mond-Spritzer.

"We are always so excited to see our apprentices contribute in such a great way to our corporate culture as well as our community", says Peter Marcinkowski, Head of HR at Grenzebach.  Stefan Rößle, county commissioner in Donau-Ries, and Martin Paninka, Mayor of Asbach-Bäumenheim, appreciate Grenzebach’s dedication and commitment while congratulating the young men and women who successfully completed their training and those who will soon start their apprenticeship program in one of ten skilled occupations.

Commitment to education in numbers:
16 apprentices have just successfully completed their apprenticeship program. 19 new apprentices will start in fall of 2017 at Grenzebach in Hamlar. 31 young men and women received awards for achieving excellent grades within their training program. 4 bachelor and 2 master degrees as well as 5 IHK certifications (Chamber of Industry and Commerce) within the dual study course have been awarded.
