Just what I want!

17.07.2017 - The InfoTruck teaches students about different professions in the metal and electrical industries.

Once again the InfoTruck stops at Grenzebach in Hamlar: With an invitation from the high-tech company, students can learn all about the different professions in the metal and electrical industries (M+E) by gathering information at interactive stations; they get to experience hands-on tasks, such as the programming of a CNC machine and the milling of their very own work piece.

"Traditionally, Grenzebach has a very high training rate. It’s important to us to support local students at an early stage the best we can", says Michael Wolf, Head of Training Management at Grenzebach Maschinenbau. After visiting the InfoTruck the students head to the company's training center. Grenzebach trains in up to 19 professions and the instructors consider themselves mentors to the young women and men.

Students from the “Realschule Rain” and the “Gymnasium Donauwörth” as well as the Donauwörth FOS/BOS (technical colleges) visit the M+E truck: “It’s always interesting to see students leave the InfoTruck impressed and with lots of questions”, says Michael Wolf. “We are very thankful for the collaboration with the employers' association, Gesamtmetall, who provides their truck to stop at Grenzebach in order to raise students’ awareness for training at our Company."

Enthusiasm connecting generations: on one afternoon the M+E InfoTruck is exclusively reserved for the children of Grenzebach employees to explore.
