Family Day at the Hamlar location

18.09.2017 - 2,000 visitors get to look behind the curtains at Grenzebach – accompanied by great entertainment.

Oh, that is how friction stir welding works! Cool, how agile those driverless transport vehicles are! There were many such moments during Grenzebach’s Family Day in Hamlar. Visitors could experience first-hand what kind of projects their loved ones, daughter/son, mother/father are currently working on. 2,000 visitors had the opportunity to look behind the curtains walking around the creative halls at the internationally operating high-tech company.

“At the new Innovation Center, our teams are literally working on the future. Our solutions are in high demand – our current capacity speaks for itself. For your commitment and dedication I would like to thank you and your families“, Renato Luck, CEO at Grenzebach. The Innovation Center was opened during the end of 2016 and offers an assembly area of nearly 1,500 m² – close to the size of six tennis courts. In addition we have about 400 m² in office space. During the Family Day, the new construction turned out to be not only an ideal space to puzzle and engineer, but also to entertain and have a good time. With lots of food and drinks, employees could enjoy a relaxed day amongst their colleagues, friends and families. And pouring drinks, as so many other things at Grenzebach, is highly automated. The beer robot – a fun project – received great laughs among the visitors.

At different locations in the company, such as the mechanical and electrical manufacturing, visitors could see for themselves how creative ideas develop into concepts and comprehensive solutions. Machinery at work, systems in the testing stage or final assembly: impressions non-stop. In the production hall, every guest received a personalized gift custom-made by a laser cutter. Besides the sound of robots, roaring machines and zooming automated guided vehicles, the music by the Grenzebach Buam was a must at the Family Day: 13 employees playing their instruments entertaining the visitors.

Family Day: for Grenzebach that of course also included infotainment for the youngsters. The training center welcomed its guests with information about the different educational programs. And another highlight: the youngest visitors could take a driving test for the automated guided vehicle L1200S. And we didn’t stop there: arts and crafts, and magic and so much more was offered.

Everybody who wanted to capture the great time they had during the Family Day, could take advantage of our photo booth – or take notes in a Grenzebach book all guests got to take home at the end of the day.

Work together – celebrate together!
