Grenzebach sells LJU Automatisierungstechnik to Conductix-Wampfler-Group

24.11.2017 - The Grenzebach Group announced today the divestiture of LJU Automatisierungstechnik GmbH, a leader in control systems for different industrial applications, to Conductix-Wampfler GmbH. A respective contract was signed by both parties on 14 November 2017. The transaction is expected to be closed this year, subject to the approval of the merger control authorities.

LJU, based in Potsdam, joined the Grenzebach Group in 2009. The company provides control systems for a wide range of industrial applications - e.g. for electrified monorail and floor conveying systems. The product range also comprises inductive technology which is used in general mechanical engineering and for storage technology solutions.

Conductix-Wampfler GmbH, based in Weil am Rhein, is one of the global leading manufacturers of systems for energy and data transmission to mobile consumers. The development-partner, supplier and service provider is active in different customer segments, such as automotive, storage and logistics as well as general mechanical engineering.

The acquisition complements the product portfolio of both companies and thus strengthens the market position of the two companies. Furthermore both companies will now be able to provide system solutions and will be able to enter new markets. "We realized that Conductix-Wampfler would actually provide a better environment for LJU's further development. At the same time LJU as well as Conductix-Wampflerp will benefit from new strategic development opportunities", says Renato Luck, CEO Grenzebach Group.
