EADS baut Technologielizenzierung durch neue Verträge mit europäischen und indischen Partnern aus
Mit der Unterzeichnung von fünf neuen Lizenzverträgen mit Industriepartnern aus Indien und Europa baut EADS das Geschäft mit der Lizensierung von Technologien weiter aus.
Im Rahmen der Paris Air Show sicherte sich die deutsche Grenzebach Automation GmbH im vergangenen Juni die Lizenzrechte für metallverarbeitende Verfahren, die auf der Reibrührschweiß-Fügetechnik* basieren. Unterzeichnet wurden außerdem Absichtserklärungen mit einem deutschen und drei indischen Unternehmen über Fertigungsverfahren für Metalle und Verbundwerkstoffe.

Thoughts on solar glass
After the industrial success story of float glass rolled glass was in the role of a sleeping beauty. It was always perceived in the low quality sector as far as normal flat glass was concerned. The main right to exist was coming from the demand of patterned and wired glass for various applications like shower doors. The number of lines constantly decreased and lines were replaced by float lines allover the globe.

Shares in German robotics maker KUKA rise 6,3 percent as the second-biggest gainer in Frankfurt's midcap index, after the company says that it sems as positive the fact that Grenzebach Maschinenbau GmbH has built a 5.43 percent voting stake in the company. "This is certainly a good sign," says Merck Finck & Co analyst Carsten Kunold. Kuka announced on Wednesday that Grenzebach built the stake, and adds today that this will strengthen KUKA's market position in the general industry. Grenzebach Maschinenbau - a leading manufacturer of high tech production plants and an important partner to the glass industry - are pleased and proud that Fraunhofer Institute for Mechanics of Materials received one of three prizes which were awarded in 2008 by the German Fraunhofer Gesellschaft to recognize scientific achievements in solving application-oriented problems. In the presence of German Federal President Dr. Horst Köhler the Institute was honoured with this award for their developments in the LiST project, a special laser cutting process for flat glass.
